Meet Jade.

I know trauma both professionally and personally. This work was not born from theory alone—it was built through surviving, questioning, healing and choosing to create something different.

My story includes complex PTSD, anxiety and depression since childhood, care experience, destructive coping strategies, single motherhood, recovery and spiritual awakening. It also includes laughter, ambition, purpose and the stubborn belief that what happened to us does not have to become the limit of our lives.

My Story+

My story includes complex PTSD, anxiety and depression since childhood; care experience, destructive coping strategies, single motherhood, recovery and spiritual awakening. It also includes laughter, ambition, purpose and a stubborn belief that what happened to us does not have to become the limits of our lives.

For years, I believed I was broken. I believed there was something medically or genetically wrong with me and that I would need medication for anxiety and depression for the rest of my life. I had not yet connected how I felt with what I had experienced.

My spiritual awakening changed the questions I was asking. I began learning about trauma, the nervous system and intergenerational patterns. Some memories were clear; others returned only as glimpses, sensations or smells. Slowly, my life began to make sense. I realised I did not only want to heal for myself. I needed to interrupt the cycle for my daughter.

My Professional Journey+

I began working with children and young people at 17, while I was still in care and living in supported accommodation. The people who supported me inspired me to offer that same belief and possibility to young people like me. More than 20 years later, that commitment remains.

I hold a degree in Youth and Community Work from the University of Greenwich and have worked across education, youth services and children’s services. My experience includes safeguarding systems, trauma-informed practice and supporting children and families carrying significant levels of trauma.

I have seen how pain moves through families when people are overwhelmed by abuse, addiction, financial pressure, burnout and the demands of surviving. Removing someone from danger matters—but what happens afterwards matters too. Children need healing. Parents need support. Communities need connection.

When Pain Turns Inward+

I know this professionally, but I also know it personally. When I was unhealed, I used alcohol and other destructive coping strategies to escape my pain. I believed I was only hurting myself, but pain does not remain neatly contained. Even when my daughter was asleep or somewhere else, the way I coped still affected the mother I was able to be.

When we say, “hurt people hurt people,” that does not always mean someone intentionally setting out to harm another person. Sometimes pain turns inward. I have supported young people whose experiences of abuse later appeared as self-harm, drinking, substance use or what others might label “risky behaviour.” Often, they were trying to survive pain they did not yet have the words, safety or tools to understand.

If we do not choose to heal consciously, we may continue to hurt ourselves and those around us unconsciously. Awareness gives us the opportunity to meet our pain with compassion, find healthier ways to cope and choose something different. Hurt people may hurt people—but healed people can help heal people.

What I Believe+

I believe healing is both deeply personal and powerfully collective. It takes a community to raise healthy children, support healthy families and build healthy communities.

Cycles can be interrupted. With awareness, compassionate support and practical tools, we can understand what shaped us without allowing it to decide what comes next. We can learn healthier ways to cope, reconnect with ourselves and create safer, more loving lives for the generations that follow.

Why I Created This Space+

Trauma. Transformation. Evolution. is more than a website. It is the beginning of a healing ecosystem—and, I hope, a movement.

I created it for people who have spent years carrying pain, caring for everyone else or simply trying to survive. This mission matters to my heart, my health, my daughter, my family and the world I want future generations to inherit.

Healing one person can change far more than one life. It can transform relationships, interrupt generational cycles and create a ripple that reaches people we may never meet.
